The Arm Lift procedure is designed to enhance the appearance of the upper arms. Many people struggle with the upper arms as they get older either due to fluctuations in weight or genetics. The upper arms may have excess, sagging skin and/or stubborn localized fat cells that have not been responsive to diet and exercise. In the Arm Lift procedure the incision is made along the lower inside portion of the upper arm from the elbow to the armpit. It is important to know that the arm lift procedure will leave behind a permeant scar that will fade over time but never completely go away. Many patients feel the that is a worthwhile trade off for achieving the arm appearance they desire, but the decision is a personal one.
The Arm Lift procedure is sometimes performed in combination with other body contouring procedures such as Liposuction (to remove stubborn fat in the area), or a body lift (if there is excess, sagging skin in other areas of the body).
